Welcome! I am a doctoral student in the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies at the
University of New Mexico working with
Dr.
Yolanda C. Lin.
I received a BS in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of Wisconsin and an
MS in Geography from the University of Florida.
After graduating with my MS, I worked at the Illinois State Water Survey for three years,
where I collaborated with communities in rural Illinois to help them become more resilient to
natural and human-made hazards.
My academic research interests lie at the intersection of natural hazards, risk
communication, and feminist cartographies.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cycling, playing piano, going to art/farmer's markets, and
watching (or avoiding) the Chicago White Sox.
